ABOUT
Sycamore Gap was an iconic landmark that sat along Hadrian's Wall in Northumberland National Park (most needing no introduction). After moving from the Midlands of England to the North East in 2018, Sycamore Gap was one of the very first places I photographed once settled in my new location. I was lucky enough to visit a few times a year prior to the heartbreaking felling.
This particular image was among the first photographs I shot of what ended up being one of my favourite places in Northumberland. It's particularly special to me as, upon moving to the North East, I didn't know many people, and ventures out to places like Sycamore Gap were what kept me going.
Although it deeply saddens me that I'll probably never be able to attempt to better my photographic efforts of Sycamore Gap, I know there are people out there with much bigger memories than mine tied to the area. Therefore, hopefully, my image can hang proudly for those who want to be reminded of the magical place each day.
PROCESS
My digital process ensures the finished print is near exact to what I see on screen and how I intend the photograph to look, however depending on the device, resolution or type of screen you are viewing my website from, the print may differ slightly to your particular screen viewing experience.
